Jerald Robinson: 2010 Michigan Wolverine -- Split End -- Signing Day Recap

Posted at 4:00pm -- 2/5/2010

Jerald Robinson: 2010 Michigan Wolverine

Height: 6'2
Weight: 175
Position: Split End
High School: Canton South Wildcats (Ohio)
Head Coach: Moe Daniska
Recruiter: Coach Bruce Tall
Class: 2010 Michigan Wolverine Recruiting Class (Enrolled)

Overview:
Jerald is a tall wiry athlete who could play on either side of ball and provide help on special teams. He could also play split end or outside linebacker.

Strengths:
Jerald has very good hands and excellent concentration and also uses his body well to shield defenders and catch the ball in a crowd. He is also a willing blocker.

Needs work:
He is not a ground-burner and lacks an extra gear. Will he be able to separate playing at the college level?

Jerald reminds us of this former Michigan Wolverine:
Jason Avant

Red-shirt or play his freshman year:
GBMW believes he is likely to play. We think one or two split ends will need to play this year and believe he is one of the most likely.

Where do they rank him:
ESPN: 3-Star .. #99 at position.
Rivals: 3-Star .. #48 at position.
Scout: 4-Star .. #40 at position.

Final Thoughts:
He is a very good athlete that could play on either side of the ball if needed, but with the players in this recruiting class we believe he will be on the offensive side of the ball. With Jerald enrolled early, this will only help him this coming year for learning the system and getting prepared for the upcoming season.
